MORE INFO
After revolutionizing the single-cylinder rally segment with the legendary 450 Rally, KOVE enters the medium-displacement twin-cylinder adventure segment , with another bike that redefines the terms of its segment in terms of weight, performance and features , always at a higher price. how accessible .
Presented in the definitive version at EICMA 2023, the Kove 800X comes in three versions with the same engine: ADV, PRO and RALLY , differentiated by suspension travel, equipment and intended use:
KOVE 800X ADV is perfect for adventure trips where the 210mm of travel and a ground clearance of 245mm are an excellent compromise with the saddle at just 835mm , thus representing the ideal choice even for less tall riders.
KOVE 800X PRO is the evolution for those looking for an even more intense off-road experience , thanks to 240mm KYB multi-adjustable suspension , ground clearance that rises to 275mm and first-rate features such as Taisko radial calipers, floating discs and Pirelli tires Scorpion Rally STR traction control and quick shifter as standard .
KOVE 800X RALLY is the best you can get for off-roading with a twin-cylinder : practically a special , as the most demanding enthusiasts like, but made with the care and guarantee of the parent company . With numerous details machined from solid , a fork with 49mm and 270mm of travel, a 250mm monoshock , a ground clearance of 293mm , and specialist enduro tyres, this motorbike is ready to overcome any challenge, even and above all in the racing .
The first version to be marketed in Italy is the 800X PRO , which will be available from retailers in the second half of April . The ADV should arrive after the summer, while the final version of the RALLY is scheduled for autumn.
KOVE 800X PRO As per KOVE tradition, the 800X PRO stands out from all its competitors due to its extremely low weight: we are talking about 190kg in running order with a full tank of fuel ( 178kg without petrol), including sump guard, frame protection bars and luggage rack , therefore from 20 to 50kg less than direct competitors with the same equipment. And as 'off-road' enthusiasts know well, weight is a fundamental component in the dynamics of the motorbike, especially when leaving the asphalt and tackling the most demanding sections, which is why the 800X PRO was created. A weight that was certainly not achieved by skimping on components, just note the fully adjustable KYB fork with 48mm stanchions and 240mm travel , well above the segment average, but above all by using quality materials , reducing non-essential components and creating a more compact motorcycle than average. Another fundamental fact to understand the potential of the 800X PRO is the weight/power ratio of only 1.88 kg/hp (in running order without fuel), which has no equal compared to the direct competition, even with higher displacement, which on average finds itself having to push from 0.12 to 0.91 kg more for each horsepower delivered. And so we come to the engine, a compact 799cc parallel twin , 8 valves , with double camshaft and 270° valve timing , which is no coincidence that it has been the most widespread configuration for several years, given that it combines weight, dimensions and low costs , with easy positioning in the frame, the best centralization of the masses and optimization of the center of gravity , as well as reduced heat emission , with the pleasant delivery typical of a V-twin. A compact engine , with a low sump in height, which allows to obtain a minimum distance from the ground of 275mm (higher than all the competition) , without having to raise the center of gravity and the height of the saddle , which at 875mm remains average, making the motorbike accessible to most .
